INNOVA Awarded to DOMOLIF

We are pleased to present the project LITHIUMSEL: Development of a Biotechnological Product based on a Modified Microorganism for the Extracellular Binding of Lithium, a pioneering initiative awarded to DOMOLIF SPA under the auspices of InnovaChile, part of the Production Development Corporation (CORFO). This project represents a significant effort in the search for sustainable and technologically advanced solutions for the selective extraction of lithium, crucial for the country’s energy and technological future.

With funding confirmed through Electronic Exempt Resolution 24CVIS-2558, DOMOLIF is committed to leading this project with an approach that respects hydrological balance and promotes environmental sustainability. The subsidy granted amounts to $202,500,000, covering 86.18% of the total project cost, which demonstrates CORFO’s confidence and support in our proposal.

The administration and management of DOMOLIF are backed by a solid financial and operational structure, as evidenced by our 2023 balance sheets and income statements. These documents reflect prudent management and operational capacity that guarantee the proper execution of the project. The implementation of LITHIUMSEL not only aims at innovations in the mining sector but also contributes to regional and national economic and technological development.
